I want to take this chance to introduce our new assistant coach, Andrew Thomson. Andrew is a 2010 Middlebury College grad and was a central component of the team's undefeated NCAA Team Championship season. Andrew played #1 doubles for four years for the Panthers, finishing his freshman and sophomore years ranked 5 in the country, his junior season ranked 10, and his senior year finishing ranked 3 in the nation. In addition to being a 4-time doubles All-American, Andrew finished his junior and senior season ranked 34 in the country in singles. This tennis resume is impressive, and four four years, I watched as he tore us apart in both singles and doubles, but more impressive, is his understanding and appreciation of the game, and the way that he carried and continues to carry himself. In the short time that he's been a part of our program, he has made a deep and immediate impact. Hopefully in the coming months and seasons, you will have the opportunity to meet Andrew, but in the meantime, know that our guys are feeding off of his experience, passion, energy, and knowledge.
